Using his own experiences in strategy development, Matt Garretson guides you through the Strategic Planning Workshop, a planning tool for getting great ideas from your team, and creating buy-in for even the most difficult strategic choices. The workshop looks not only at what you do as an organization (programs), but how you do it (operations), how you pay for it (finance), and who does it (people). Having demonstrated how to lead brainstorming of organizational programs, Matt describes the brainstorming process. The workshop is only effective if your team is prepared and willing to share its thoughts about what you should START, STOP, or CONTINUE doing.
Matt Garretson is co-founder of BurnBright and a successful entrepreneur who built and led one of the nation’s leading technology-enabled claims resolution and medical monitoring companies, the Garretson Resolution Group. Since selling the business, Matt has dedicated himself to educating non-profit leaders. An avid learner, Matt is a graduate of Yale University, Kentucky’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and Chicago Theological Seminary.
